Contract Extension for Audit Services for opted-in bodies in England (2022)
PSAA confirmed in September 2025 that existing contracts across all lots have been extended by two years, following mutual agreement with the appointed firms. The extension covers the audits of the financial years 2028/29 and 2029/30, with contract delivery continuing until all audits have been completed. This involves six firms: Grant Thornton, Forvis Mazars, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Bishop Fleming, and Azets Audit Services.
Framework call off for Recruitment Services
PSAA confirms that three awards have been made via the Local Government Resourcing Partnership (LGRP) YPO framework to cover fixed term recruitment needs. Call off awards were confirmed in October 2025 to Gatenby Sanderson, Hays and Robertson Bell.
Future Procurements
PSAA published a pipeline notice in May 2025 outlining its future intentions for procurement of the main audit services contracts for the next appointing period. Now that the extension of the existing contracts has been confirmed through to 31 March 2030, a new procurement is not moving forward at this time.
