How will PSAA review recurring adjustments that have been incorporated into scale fees?

Where recurring audit work is incorporated into a body’s scale fee, we will record the reason for the adjustment so that it can be reviewed in future fee-setting exercises.

Each year we consider information provided by bodies and auditors, including recurring fee variations and specific circumstances affecting individual bodies.

We also commission independent technical research to consider changes in accounting and auditing requirements and consider comparative analysis to help inform fee-setting decisions.

Where circumstances change and recurring work is no longer required, the auditor or audited body should bring this to PSAA’s attention. Depending on the circumstances, PSAA may determine a negative fee variation.

Audited bodies can notify us directly of any relevant changes in circumstances by contacting feevariations@psaa.co.uk.
